Internship

Lisa has been an intern in our studio for four months. She is a student member of the BIID and that is how we found her. Here is her story:

‘Fresh out of KLC I was offered a fantastic opportunity to intern for Studio Hopwood. I thought I would just be shadowing one of the senior designers but I was given a project on my 3^rd day which I had to do all the schemes and FF&E for, including, drafting on AutoCAD and 3D visuals. Dan is a very collaborative person and openly expects you to provide an opinion which can be daunting but it’s the best way to learn. He also likes you to come up with innovative ideas and loves new and interesting materials, so as a result our studio is a hive of creativity. My main aim at Studio Hopwood was to learn as much as I could in as short a time as possible and I have not been disappointed. It’s been a fantastic investment in my career.’
