Colour Block Camel

What I Wore: Coat – c/o River Island, Sweater – Zara, Trousers – c/o River Island, Boots – Zara, Bag – ASOS

I’m a huge fan of wearing one colour all over but it isn’t often I go through with it myself, for fear of looking on the bad side of silly (or like I rolled around in one colour in my floordrobe and this is the result). Having said that, it’s always good to step out of your comfort zone every now and again, and that’s what I did with this outfit; wearing mostly-camel-everything! River Island this season seems to be getting a LOT right, and none more so than their selection of coats; I’ve been after a wool midi in camel for a while and had to keep still for fear of over-exciting myself when I spotted this one.

And in the most beautiful red leafy background I teamed my coat with camel trousers, a loose beige top and black boots to tone down all of the camel. To me, this is the kind of colour block that I’d happily wear, even if it isn’t strictly colour-blocking ; ). Is one colour for a whole outfit a little too much? I’d love to know what you think! x
