monthly favourites: june

Fashion: I am completely in love with my new Karen Millen dress (1). It’s currently on sale and still available in most sizes as I write, both from Bloomingdale’s and also from Selfridges (which ships internationally – bonus points!). At £110, it’s a bargain for the perfect day-to-dinner dress that fits like it was made for me (though I should note, I bought one size larger than my regular size).

Face: Earlier this month, I had a wedding and in the search for the perfect lipstick to go with my Anthropologie Laced Verbena Dress, I discovered Charlotte Tilbury’s brand (2). For the wedding, I combined Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect and Lip Lustre Lacquer in Seduction. Since then, I’ve been wearing different combinations of the products pretty much every day – and from a tinted lip balm girl, that shows real love!

Food: I spent quite a bit of time in London this month (as you can probably guess by the proliferation of British brands in this post!) and while I was there, I discovered the most amazing tea of all time: Teapigs’ Liquorice and Mint (3). It is so delicious, refreshing and – best of all – caffeine free so it’s the perfect late night treat. It’s sweet enough to satisfied all of my dessert cravings (which is unheard of for me!) and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Teapigs ship internationally from their own website too.

Film: I finally caught up on X-Men: Days of Future Past (4) this month and it was incredible! I’m not usually a comic book movie kind of girl but this one knocked it out of the park for me – love it!

Flashback: As Game of Thrones reached its fourth season finale, I loved re-reading the fashion inspiration post I wrote back in 2012 (5).
