Ever wanted to know how to make a hot pink margarita? You’re in luck! I’ve been on a serious margarita kick since we moved to Dallas. After trying the prickly pear margarita at Chuy’s and posting a picture on Instagram, I knew I had to find a way to recreate it at home. Gretchen and I started searching for recipes online and then played around to see which ones tasted best. I’m so stoked with how this one turned out — I really need to plan a housewarming party so I have an excuse to whip up another batch!

Hot pink prickly pear margaritas (makes four)

6 ounces clear tequila (we used Patrón Silver)

4 ounces Cointreau

4 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice

2 ounces prickly pear cactus syrup (we used this one)

1 ounce orange juice

Salt for rims

Lime wedges for garnish

1. Slice and squeeze limes. Use one lime to rim glasses with salt.

2. Mix ingredients in cocktail shaker and pour over ice.

3. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and serve.

Tag me on Instagram @mackenziehoran if you decide to try them — I can’t wait to hear what you think!

P.S. I picked up these glasses at Pottery Barn (we’d been using these from my boutique but I wanted to be able to see the pretty pink color!) and I love that they’re basically unbreakable. #winning
