Brighter Side of Work Chic: Ann Taylor Lace Midi Skirt

Before trying on this floral lace midi skirt from Ann Taylor, I was exclusively a pencil skirt wearer. I’ve never wanted to admit to myself that I’m not 5’10”, and I’ve seen some midi skirts completely just chop a perfectly good set of long legs in half, so I stayed as far away as possible. I fell in love with the trim and tea length of this particular skirt, so I decided to give it a very skeptical go, and I swear, I feel like a new woman. The skirt is so flattering, and I love having layers of fabric to play with (sorry, pencil and/or mini skirts, but you lose in the fun department). I’ll always have a soft spot for my arsenal of high waisted pencil skirts, but midi skirts, especially floral lace midi skirts, are the ultimate trifecta of comfy, versatile, and feminine. I needed a cute date night out, so I paired the rich navy fabric with a coral ruffle top, which is also from Ann Taylor, and my gorgeous new blush heels, known as Elisa, from Pour La Victoire. The Elisa pump is made with snakeskin textured Italian leather and a 4-inch heel, and you can choose from four different colors, including a fabulous black and white pattern I’ve had my eye on for weeks. Seriously, how fun is this skirt?! I love it, and I wish it came in a dozen different colors– get on it, Ann Taylor! Have a great day, loves!
