The NENI Berlin is a culinary mosaic of Persian, Russian, Arabic, Moroccan, Turkish, Spanish, German and Austrian influences. The concept of Haya Molcho is that everyone is able to try a little of everything, and pots and pans are taken from the kitchen and placed directly on the table without any airs or graces. In the 10th Floor you can enjoy the varied cuisine and panoramic views of Berlin and the Tiergarten.

I am currently obsessed with NENI Berlin. It’s a super hip restaurant on top of the 25 Hour Hotel, right beside Bikini Berlin. Not only is the food amazing – a fusion of so many different cuisines – but the place is designed beautifully. I will let my photos do the talking.

I always take a table that overlooks the lush greenery of the Berlin Zoo. It is very relaxing.

You really must order the chicken strips with crispy almond coating. Paired with sweet potato fries and dipped in sweet chill sauce, it takes the humble chicken strips to the next level. Great for kids too! Other favourites are the Jerusalem Platter which is super tasty grilled chicken with humus that goes with their delicious freshly baked pillow-soft pita bread.

For dessert, the fresh fruit salad is a healthier, yet super delicious, alternative. But for chocoholics (like me!) the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate fudge brownie is a must-try.

If you are at NENI for lunch try their lunch menu. They have different offers daily. For 20 Euros you get bread, salad, a main dish and dessert. It is a lot for me, so TD and I usually get only one lunch menu and a large chicken strips – all for sharing. We’re so stuffed, we end up rolling out of NENI. Haha.

On the other side of the same floor is the Monkey Bar, which is so clever because it faces the Monkeys in the Zoo below. They have the same kitchen as NENI and offer only light snacks and drinks. The cool thing about this bar is that children are allowed, which I think is the case in many other places in Berlin.
