On Trial: Creme De La Mer Reparative SkinTint

I’m apologising in advance for the deluge of bronzers and tinted moisturisers you’re about to be hit with. Starting with Crème de la Mer’s Reparative SkinTint with SFF 30. First the bad news: it’s £65 for 40ml. But the good news is it has a tiny nozzle that squirts out the product in miniscule amounts, so there’s zero wastage. And the finish is beautifully glowy and natural-looking. It comes in five skin tones from Very Fair to Tan.

This is a sheer tint that has been warming up my complexion for the last two weeks. I use it on top of my moisturiser and it’s the perfect consistency of blendable creaminess, without dragging or feeling greasy. I don’t do BB creams as I haven’t found one that agrees with me; they tend to be too thick and claggy. This isn’t called a BB or CC but it does have skincare benefits, containing antioxidants and the signature La Mer miracle broth.

The broth promises to help with natural skin repair and renewal, while the antioxidants protect skin from future damage. Having browsed some other reviews, it appears there was an earlier, much-loved La Mer tinted moisturiser that was discontinued. This is a thicker consistency than that one, so don’t expect a duplicate product. But if you’re after a natural-looking tint that will add a little colour to vitamin D-starved skin, with a few added skin-boosting benefits, then this could work for you.
