Artistry Little Black Dress Eye Shadow palette review

I received this eye shadow palette a few months ago, by Amway Hellas, and I jumped with joy, because I don’t have many eye shadows, let alone palettes. I hadn’t been using eye shadows for years, but I’ve recently restarted, so this came at the right time.

As you can see the packaging is amazing, and it contains, 8 eye shadows, in colors ranging from pearly white, and light pink, to purple, grey and black. So the color range is big enough. The palette weighs 8g, which means that each eye shadow is almost 1g. The palette has a magnet so it’s easy to use, store, and even take with you on trips, because of its relatively small size. It comes with a nice double brush for applying the eye shadows and blending them.

When I first got it, and after I’ve photographed it, I tried to use it a few times when I was in a hurry, and I could barely see any color on my eyelids. At first, I was disappointed, but then, I tried swatching the eye shadows on my arm for this post, which was equally difficult to do, and I realized something; After having lightly scratched the colors with my fingers, for the swatches, the colors were much more intense and easy to apply. I know for some of you, this might be obvious, but I’m sure that there are many others like me, who haven’t been using eye shadows till recently, so this is for them.

After that, I used the palette to try two different looks to show you. One darker and more intense, and one lighter, and perfect for every day, or for summer months. I’m not an expert in makeup or in self-photography (especially when it comes to beauty posts), so please excuse me. I did the best I could. Personally I loved the darker one, and I’m definitely gonna try it again in the future.

As you can see, pearl, and sequin are really subtle colors, and are mostly there for highlighting. The others are perfect. They all are a bit shimmery but in a very subtle way, although I think there are a couple matte ones there as well. If you use them with a good eye-shadow base, they will stay there for hours.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you liked my review! Have a nice weekend! See you on Monday with a new outfit post!
