What’s New: Guatemalan Water Bottle Tote

On Friday, we enjoyed a super fun trip to Colorado Bend State Park in central Texas. The park is truly out in the boonies with only primitive camping and no running water, only compost toilets. We brought in all our own water–for us and our dogs.

As we hiked, both Irie and Tiki made their usual stops for water — and this time it was super easy to tote the water thanks to our Guatemalan Water Tote Bag, one of the fair trade products we carry in our PawZaar store!

The bag is handmade by a member of the Unidas Para Vivir Mejor or “United for a Better Life,” a cooperative of women artisans on the outskirts of Guatemala City in the village of La Esperanza. As with purchases from our Young Pet Lovers Collection, we donate $1 from the sale of every bag to help send the child of an artisan to school (just $44 pays for a year of school at the cooperative’s Montessori school). A portion of every sale on the site also goes to help one of three great non-profits to help animals around the world.

The bag comes in both bright and earth tones…

… but all share the same style: an adjustable, cross-body shoulder strap, a lined water bottle pocket (large enough for a liter bottle), a back pocket, and two front pockets, one with a Velcro closure and one that’s perfect for easy-to-grab treats…

I’m looking forward to taking our bag on all our day trips (and, next month, to the beach!)

Right now, this bag is on sale in our PawZaar store!
