Governor's Ball 2015 | Recap

I don't think my life has been as musically infused as much as it has been during these past two weeks. It started off with three straight days of Governor's Ball that led directly into a road trip through the South to Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee. So much amazing live music was flowing everywhere we went, from the main stages at the festivals to the dive bars of Nashville. It's been an unbelievable experience that I will be going into more detail about soon. Now back to the start. Natalie and I were repping BCBGeneration at our first Governor's Ball festival. When it comes to fashion at music festivals, everything is always compared to Coachella. And you know what? I think that the style I saw at Governor's Ball totally blew what I saw at Coachella this year out of the water. Maybe it's because just about everyone from NYC was there, including all of my friends from the city. NYC has an almost indescribable, confident vibe that is hard to find anywhere else. Especially when it comes to personal style. Less flower crowns and more street cred. I loved all the juxtapositions of sneakers that I saw paired with refined lines on dresses and outerwear. BCBGeneration was the perfect brand to complement my own personal style at the festival. My theme this year? The mixing and matching of prints, patterns and texture hands down. I worked in florals with my space-dye knits. Preppy stripes with my 70's wallpaper pattern. And lady-like cutout lace with my shortest velvet shorts. I threw a choker around my neck every single day. Because the 90's shall forever live on. No matter how much I say I get so exhausted during music festivals (they are pretty draining), I still live for them no matter what. There's nothing I love more for than being surrounded by true friends dancing and smiling to songs you know every single word to. That's what summer should be all about.
