Day 2 of Paris started off as warm as a spring day in Southern California, but slowly got windier/chillier as the day progressed. Always remember, French Rule #2, lounge in the sun by the Louvre and do nothing all day except smoke cigarettes and take selfless. Just kidding but not really.
We did actually start our day off after a late morning start by the Louvre. The sunshine felt so amazing coming from NYC. We enjoyed the moment thoroughly! We busted out a map of Paris and marked a path towards the Eiffel Tower, walking towards it along the Seine River, which is always a delight. The Eiffel Tower during sundown is the most magical sight ever. The sky changing in a slow motion haze behind the Tower. This day it seemed a bit slower which was nice. Less tourists, and more locals and lovers on romantic dates. When we started to get too cold since we overestimated the sunshine earlier in the day, we thankfully stumbled upon a corner bar and warmed our bones with some delicious red wine and the best cheese and meat board we've ever had. And our waiter gave us the best advice for what to do our next day in the city :)
The rest of the night was spent catching up with our new Parisian friends and hitting up a popular nightclub that funnily enough was modeled after NYC. You can basically have it all in Paris it seems!
