How a Dermatologist Chooses Sunscreen For His Family--MUST READ + Giveaway

We need to talk about sunscreen. We all know we should wear it, but there are so many choices! It can be a little overwhelming--there is so much information and misinformation on sunscreen.

I'm inviting you to please watch the (very short) video below that answers those sunscreen questions we have. It also clears up some of the information out there. It is simple, concise, and clear.

The video, “How a Dermatologist Chooses Sunscreen,” features Dr. Joshua Zeichner, NYC board-certified dermatologist, where he shares how he shops for sunscreen as well as tips for navigating the *sometimes* confusing sunscreen aisle.

Something I love most about the video is that while he's a dermatologist, he's coming to you as a dad, a husband, that wants to take care of and protect his family. How does he choose sunscreen for his family? Find out in the 3 minute video below:

Need a little more convincing? Here are a few of questions he answers:
  • Which sunscreen is best for me? For my family?
  • How much sunscreen do I use?
  • How do I know if I'm using enough sunscreen?
One of my fav quotes from the video:
"When it comes to Labor Day, if you still have the same bottle of sunscreen that you have been using since Memorial Day, then you are not using enough."

The video is part of the Choose Skin Health campaign. Heard of #ChooseSkinHealth? It’s all about spreading the word about the importance of sun safety and creating awareness around skin cancer.

Today I come to you not as a blogger, but as a friend, a nanny. The information from this video is what I keep in mind when I recommend sunscreen to my family, to you, my friends, and what I use for those precious (and precocious) little girls that I take care of. I just want you to be safe in the sun both this summer and year-round.

PS: To make sure you are covered this summer, I am giving away sunscreen from Neutrogena, a brand I love and use. If you are interested, please watch the video, and leave your email in the comments.

This post is brought to you by Neutrogena.
