DIY Carrot Napkins

One of my favorite parts from my English Garden tablescape are my carrot napkins!

Aren’t they adorable? When I decided to make the tablescape I didn’t want to pick up a lot of new items. The only items I actually bought were the orange napkins (shockingly I didn’t already own a set) and the blue/white ticking table runner. I liked where everything was going, but the ticking kept reminding me of seersucker and pairing it with the orange was just reminding me of summer. I wanted to do something to make it more Easter friendly and then it hit me…..CARROTS! If you have been reading this blog for awhile you know that I love a good tassel. Especially since they are such an easy DIY project. I picked up some embroidery thread and got to work. Once my tassels were complete I simply stitched them to the corners.

The best part of the napkins though was in how they were displayed. They actually looked like little bunches of carrots. Here is how you can create the look yourself.

Step 1: Lay out your napkin.

Step 2: Fold in half like a triangle.

Step 3: Fold the sides up to the center of the napkin.

Step 4: Fold the napkin like an accordion to get the bunches and then tie with raffia ribbon.

Voila! You are all finished.
