FAVORITE DRUGSTORE LIPSTICKS: SPRING & SUMMER

When a new season rolls around, I get so excited to find new lipsticks and to start wearing my seasonal favorites. I have a few higher end lip products, but for the most part, I prefer to buy from the drugstore because they are so much more affordable (I’d rather spend my money on clothes. Who’s with me?! 😉 ). Below are my picks for the best drugstore lipsticks for spring and summer:

~Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs: Nude Lust~

Being so fair skinned, I have a difficult time finding nude lipstick that doesn’t wash me out. I love that this shade has a gorgeous pinky-brown tint to it while still being nude. It looks so great with a smokey eye!

~NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: Istanbul~

This is my first NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream and let me tell you, I am hooked! (Thanks Shanna for the recommendation!) This color is very close to my natural lip color and has been my go-to lately. I have really dry lips and sometimes matte colors can be even more drying on my lips but not this one! The color is going to be so perfect year-round!

~Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom: Power Peony~

I have been on the hunt for a pinky-purple shade for spring and hallelujah I have found it! This color screams spring and summer.

~Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Balm Stain: Cherish~

I have five colors of the Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Balm Stain collection (the color “honey” is my all time favorite), but each spring and summer, I find myself reaching for the color “cherish”. It’s a really pretty light pink color. This is the color I wish my lips were naturally.

~Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids: Shocking Coral~

This color is a family favorite…my mom, my sister, and I all have it It’s the perfect spring/summer alternative to all the bold reds you see during fall and winter.

Maybelline Color Sensational in Nude | NYX Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul | Maybelline Color Sensational in Power Peony | Revlon Color Stay in Cherish | Maybelline Color Sensational in Shocking Coral

I use the Revlon Color Stay Lip Liner in nude with all my lipstick colors. It matches my lips perfectly and blends well with all colors, from reds, to pink, to nudes, to bights, to pastels. Also, I have really really dry lips (it’s a curse I’ve struggled with my entire life). I use the Bliss Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub and it really helps to take off the dead/dry skin. The EOS chapstick is the only chapstick that I’ve found to work for me. Does anyone have other suggestions for dry lips?

P.S. Doing a little half smile like I’m doing in these photos is a major mouth workout. My mouth was hurting so bad from smiling for like an hour straight while taking these pictures. Haha!
