Currently Obsessed With... The Music Edition

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll know that I'm currently in Paris for Rock en Seine festival, which starts today! Yay! So, in ??? I thought I'd share with you a few of the songs and albums that have been playing on repeat on my iPod, this summer - some of which are old favorites and some I'm looking forward to hearing for the first time this weekend.

SLEATER-KINNEY
NO CITIES TO LOVE
Sleater Kinney was my first introduction to the Riot Grrrl movement back in the days - hello, who doesn't love
Jumpers? - and I was thrilled to see them coming out with a new album. And believe me, it's a good one! Some of my favourite songs on the album include
No Anthems,
A New Wave,
Bury Our Friends and
Price Tag.

JAMIE XX
I KNOW THERE'S GONNA BE (GOOD TIMES)
Because listening to this song will forever bring back memories of driving to Glastonbury in a car packed full of camping gear and cans, with some of the best people I know. I did miss his set at Glasto, so I'm even more excited to catch him, this weekend.
Listen to it here.

UH HUH HER
COMMON REACTION

One of my favourite bands as a teenager, I've slowly been rediscovering Uh Huh Her. There is something really soothing and yet electrifying about Camilla Grey and Leisha Hailey's vocals.
Some of my favourite songs off the album are
Not A Love Song (in all its Myspace-y glory),
Wait Another Day and
Explode. And let's not even talk about
this live acoustic version of Common Reaction, shall we?

BLUR
GREATEST HITS This is another blast from the past, but I've been listening to Blur non-stop since I saw them at Hyde Park, last month. They were incredible and I had a blast dancing around to some of my favourite tunes, such as
Boys and Girls,
Song 2 and
Parklife.

Clearly, this summer was a very retro one for me. What have you been listening to lately?
