Traditional Maryland Wedding: Seth + Marnina

Handmade Wedding Blog | Emmaline Bride® - Handmade wedding blog for detail-obsessed brides.

Are you planning a traditional wedding and need inspiration? We’re bringing it to you thanks to Preferred Photographer, Dennis Drenner! Seth and Marnina planned a traditional themed wedding in Baltimore, Maryland, with classic and vintage details throughout. The groom wore a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie, while the bride stunned in a cathedral length wedding gown, complete with train and lace bolero. She paired her dress with a classic wedding veil and a vintage inspired brooch bouquet. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an elegant reception complete with dinner, dancing, and the Hora (as you can see in the first image below!) It looks like everyone had a fun time, especially the bride and groom! See Seth and Marnina’s beautiful day as it unfolded, complete with memories of the day as told by their photographer, Dennis. Enjoy!

Traditional Maryland Wedding

Dennis tells us, “I had a front row seat when Seth first saw Marnina in her wedding dress, and was watching her face through my zoom lens as she looked at her husband to be. The joy and depth of emotion in their faces was so intense, if they had been actors I would have thought they were overdoing it. But this was the real thing, and for a photographer it was a blast to photograph, and for a human being… well, gives you faith in humanity!”

“The ceremony and reception were held at the Beth Tfiloh Congregation near Baltimore. My day started out calmly with some getting ready photos, photographing some details and overalls of the scene and the beautiful sanctuary… and then things began to happen. There was a kabbalat panim where people greet and pray with the bride, and then the men’s and women’s tisch. I particularly enjoyed the bedeken, where Karen (my wife and second shooter) and I worked in unison to capture the amazing moments happening all around us.”

“After the bedeken, the wedding just seemed to take off like a rocket ship, a non-stop whirl of intense emotion and activity that continued for hours. Towards the end of the reception things finally calmed down and we collapsed in a heap, happy and tired, precious gigabytes of family memories safely zipped up in our bags.”
