We're in India | Part One

We're in India! I know this is a bit confusing because my most recent videos were pre-filmed in Canada but yes, we're in India. It's our last week here now & the internet isn't horrible so I thought it'd be nice to show you what we've been up to during our travels.
This photo was taken on our first day here. Ahh, look at me-full of excitement. It wasn't long after this photo I came down with food poisoning. Too much information? Well it lasted for TEN days.
Aslan has been to India a few times before so he was chatting with the driver before my first ever rickshaw ride! I actually got to drive one of these awesome vehicles but more on that later.
Here I am sitting on the rooftop of our hotel in Agra. See anything in the background? I think that's quite a famous building but I can't remember the name... (KIDDING OF COURSE!) Seeing the Taj Mahal is something I've always wanted to do. It was everything I expected and more.
You can't go to India without getting a lil' henna! I went a little overboard but I was happy with it. It didn't last a full week but the experience was nice & our driver told me I was "officially Indian now" which made me laugh.
Ahhh Keoladeo National Park. It only took us about 8 hours to get here but it was well worth it because I fell in love with the guide. I can't even remember his name but this man was absolutely hilarious. He pointed out MANY (two) different types of birds to us. He loved his job.
Here's Aslan being the pimp that he is. Need I say more?
My shopping habit certainly didn't slow down on this trip.
Here's a photo of me at the peak of my food poisoning. Let me set the scene: SCORCHING HOT, dizzy, nauseous & about to begin a two day camel excursion. I really didn't think I was gonna make it but I LOVE camels.
Putting on a happy face. Camels have such gorgeous eyelashes!
After a few hours of camel riding we were at the campsite. I had never been so happy to see miles and miles of sand.
Here we are the morning after. We only had one blanket and wowee the desert gets FREEZING cold. Who knew?!
Jumping around in the dunes was one of the most fun things I've ever done. We climbed up the tallest ones and ran down as fast as we could-it was better than it sounds.
Aslan in his desert attire.
My camel's name was Moria.
See that little (or rather huge) beetle? Well there were literally HUNDREDS of these on the sand dunes. At first I was scared but they don't bite so it ended up being okay.
Walking down some stairs at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.
We flew into Delhi then made our way south to Agra stopping off at Bharatpur. We then did a quick tour of Rajasthan where we saw Jaipur, Jodhpur & Jaisalmer. We've been to a few other places since Jaisalmer but I'll mention that in part two of this post!

So far the trip has been great. I was hit by a major dose of culture shock but the people here are exceptionally friendly! Have you ever been to India before? Is it on your list of places to visit?
