Elephants on the Loose

Talbots sweater petite P, J.Crew Factory oxford pants (bottoms tapered) 00p Manolo Blahnik BB pumps sz 35, Ann Taylor tote (current version), Hermes belt
I'm a sucker for a cute whimsical print...they're an instant pick-me-up when getting dressed in the mornings, and also make for good convo starters! I fell in love with this sweater on a mannequin and thought it'd be a rather versatile piece for layering. The elephants are woven into the knit (not just printed on), and the piece is conveniently machine-washable.

I've posted briefly about these pants before - I like the textured cotton oxford and pale blue color, but the fit could be slimmer (I tapered the bottoms of the legs a bit) and the material does show some wrinkles. I think they look fine in person, though, and you can't beat the price.

I hadn't been to Talbots in a while, but they have a couple of other cute summer chic pieces like this colorblocked striped tee, scalloped dot top, or this printed cotton tunic top. Their sizing is roomy but knit stretchy tops in a petite size P can usually work on me. My favorite section is the shoes, although they only carry 5 and 5.5 online. Some of my favorite sandals from years past are from there which I get questions on all the time! A few classic picks from this season include the low Mimi block heel sandals which are getting sparse in small sizes, the Bettie block heel city sandals (comes in so many good neutral colors!), and these Pia scalloped kitten-heels in pretty mint.
