The Lust List: Version 1.0

Hello, everyone! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Real life swallowed me whole for awhile, but I’m back with a vengeance and ready to show you some products I’ve been lusting after the past monthish.

  1. Lip Lover in Fuschia Attitude by LANCÔME (.14 oz, $23) - So, l have a real problem spending $20 dollars on a product that I’m not crazy about using in my day to day life (lipgloss), but I’m REALLY intrigued by these. I received an e-mail about these little beauties today from Sephora and the reviews speak to their liquid lipstick qualities moreso than a gloss. LANCOME says they’re, “a dewy, intense lip color that creates shine and color without sacrificing moisture.” The “gloss balms” are really popular right now, and the colors (14 shades available) are to DIE for. If you’re a VIB or VIB Rouge at Sephora you can get a deluxe mini by using the the code VIBLOVER.
  2. Replica in Beach Walk by MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA (3.4 oz, $125) – I need to face the facts: I’m on a perfume kick. In the past few months, I’ve added so many perfumes to my arsenal that I could easily go every day for a week with a different scent. Let’s also face another fact: the price for this perfume is ASTOUNDING. I will never pay over a hundred dollars for a scent that may or may not last on my skin. The idea for these, however, is pretty damn cute. Each replica fragrance is designed to bring forth a different memory from a walk on the beach to a lazy Sunday morning. Beach Walk, “combines fresh and radiant notes of bergamot, coconut milk, lemon, pink pepper, and musk.” Does that evoke a walk on the beach for me? I don’t know about that but it sure does smell pretty!
  3. Lash Lifter – Gel Definition Mascara by MARC JACOBS BEAUTY (.24 oz, $26) - Everyone boasts about the Genius Gel foundation, but I’ll tell you a secret: I purchased it when it first came out and ended up returning it two days later. It put a bad taste in my mouth over the brand, but I recently received a deluxe sample of this mascara and guys.. I AM IN LOVE. I don’t know WHAT it is about the mascara, but I love the way it glides on my lashes. I use Clump Crusher Extensions mascara first and then the Marc Jacob’s on top and it is such a winning combinations. If you get samples for anything, I think getting them for mascara is the best way to truly test whether the formulation works. The reviews on this mascara are so-so, but don’t let that fool you. Definitely give this one a try.
  4. Agave Lip Mask by BITE BEAUTY (.52 oz, $26) – I just talked about not wanting to pay large sums of money for products (like lipgloss) that I don’t really like. For whatever reason, I will HAPPILY pay almost $30 dollars for a lip treatment, particularly one with the testimonials that this lip mask has been getting from the beauty community. Sephora says, “This innovative, natural formula smooths, nourishes, and moisturizes lips with a bio-active blend of organic agave nectar, jojoba oil, vanilla CO2 extract, and triple the amount of antioxidant trans-resveratrol found in red wine.” I mean, that sounds all fine and dandy, but.. can I eat it? If it goes in my mouth will I want to cry? These are the questions I have, Bite. I know that my lips will probably feel like clouds and puppies, but is it going to taste good if I happen to lick it?

Hopefully you guys liked seeing a little glimpse inside of my brain and what I’m jonesin’ for when it comes to the latest products. We’ll have to see which of these I actually cave and purchase. What products are on your lust list? Do you like your lip treatments to be edible?
