BON LOOK

((I've had a super long hiatus from this blog, and moved back and forth a lot...but I'm happy to announce I'm back in a location where I'll be able to take photos for Faltering Bird!))
As the first day of spring is right around the corner (which I am counting the days until!), the weather is warming up. Which means sunglasses season is just around the corner!
And I have something pretty unfortunate to admit--I look awful in most sunglasses. While most of my friends sport attractive, well fitting sunglasses, I succumb to squinting in the sunlight all spring and summer long. Why? Because I can NEVER find a pair that fits my face! And I know I can't be the only one--there must be others out there who trade looking lame in sunglasses for an eye straining headache! (Raise your hand, I know you're out there!)
This probably wouldn't be as much of an issue if I liked shopping in person, but frankly, shopping at real stores is hella nerve-wracking for a lot of people, myself included. Why brave the mall when you can shop from the comfort of your own home in your PJ's?!
And then, I came upon BON LOOK. They sell glasses/ sunglasses, and have this nifty option of uploading a photo of yourself to try glasses on with--finally, I can buy sunglasses that look nice on me without having to step out the front door! It's a pretty neat way to see about what something is going to look like on you, before you buy it! When I first saw this I thought "Oh no, it's going to be lame!" but nope--the Virtual Try On works super well!
The best part is that they also have a section where you can shop for glasses based upon your face shape, rather than just browsing the whole website. What shape of face do you have? I didn't even realize there WERE different shapes like this until now...probably why I've been buying the wrong glasses my whole life.
Anyway, this website is super rad and I'm excited to finally get a nice pair of sunnies that don't look like crap on me! Hope you all can find something that suits you, too! <3
