My Top Winter Sale Picks

Sales, sales, sales – as if anyone needs reminding. Alongside the oversized queues and masses of people flocking to city centres, there are definitely some bargains to be had that can make the trip we all dread worth it. This year I managed to get 3 main pieces for bargain basement prices, a new dress, a jumper, and some more shoes (you can never have enough, right?).

I had fallen in love with a wild print dress from French Connection in the summer, but it’s price tag of £110 couldn’t be justified. You guessed it, I found it again and with a huge reduction. The dress was now a much more acceptable £27.50 at French Connection – SCORE! Great for day or night (I’ve done two outfits demonstrating both), it looks cute with a jumper and tights for the day, or heals and a blazer ready to take on the night.

My cream Reiss jumper however had to be the biggest bargain of all. It originally cost £95, and I found one which had a large hole in the front (but running along the neck seam) which had been reduced to…. wait for it….. 15 whole great British pounds! A needle and 10 minutes later, I’ve managed to fix the problem and it’s so gorgeous and warm. My 2012 bargain of the year.

And last but not least, I got some patent leather ox blood (a really deep red) colour court shoes from Dune. Costing £70 originally I got them half price at £35, perfect for the office and formal occasions.

Hope you like my outfits. Let me know what bargains you’ve managed to find…
