Casual coffee date

One of the things I missed the most in Muscat were the quaint little cafes of South Bombay. I loved spending time with a friend with some laughter, gossip and a strong brew. Thankfully, I found a gorgeous cafe in Muscat -- Mani's Cafe. With some great coffee, chicken sandwiches and gluten-free desserts all that is missing are my girlfriends back home!

This is what I wore to a recent coffee date:

• I like finding new ways to layer my outfit. I'm infamous for adding a blazer onto almost anything, even a kurta! Here I avoided wearing a tank top under my perforated blouse and instead topped it over a dress.
• Cinched it with a slim belt for shape, drama and to be cosy in the central air conditioning.
• High-tops are just not my scene, so when I discovered these floral Vans I knew I found my match. They surprisingly match many of my outfits and are perfect for subtle print-mixing. I've already worn it with polkadots and stripes.
