Vanity Fair Presents Fashion In Film 2011

As part of New York Fashion Week, Vanity Fair is partnering with the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) and the Film Society of Lincoln Center to host the first ever Fashion in Film programme. From Friday September 9 – Sunday September 11 there will be screenings of beautiful films celebrating fashion, design, and style on the silver screen. The selection looks fantastic and includes some of my favourites: The Umbrellas of Cherbourg; Eyes of Laura Mars; Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and many more. Simon Doonan will also be moderating a special panel discussing the “Spotlight on Fashion Innovation: Creative Inspiration from Cinema”. If you are lucky enough to be in New York for this special event I urge you to nip down to MAD at 2 Columbus Circle and enjoy the rare occasion to watch such beautiful films on the big screen as they were intended. Click here for more information about screenings and the evening rendezvous.
