Knits and Slits

Those in-between times of the year are some of my favourites when it comes to getting dresses; funnel-neck knitwear with short-short skirts, long, wool coats over denim cut-offs… My love of opposites really comes into it’s own in Spring and Autumn.

I think it might be something to do with being fairly petite (I’m 5ft 5 on a good day for those wondering), as while I’d love to look long and gamine in massively oversized sweaters and loose-fitting denim on chilly days, I always run the risk of looking like an overgrown, slightly frumpy, child. For me, flashing a little bit of leg balances out the boxiest of new season knitwear and that skirt split adds a few more inches of all-important length. Did I mention this skirt is ASOS? I bought it when I got the lace-up ribbed sweater and they’re both in the running for best Asos purchase to date.
