DIY Chevron Canvas

Happy Monday everyone, After the never-ending agony of sleepless nights and dreadful projects, I am finally on Spring Break! Whoo-whoo! So yesterday I finally got a chance to have some me time and out of all things I could have done I decided to paint. Horrible idea for somebody that has probably painted maybe 3 times in their life. I took on a project that was beyond my painting skills and failed miserably. Ultimately, I just grabbed my remaining canvas and thought I would at least paint a chevron print on it to put it over the hideous metal electrical box in our bedroom. I think it turned out pretty neat! Instructions: Place a strip of painters/drafting tape on the canvas. This will serve as a guideline for your zig-zags. Have the tip of the points touch the tape to make sure they come out even. I used the eyeballing technique for the most part. Keep going until you fill up the whole canvas. If you have too much room left when you reach the bottom, add some smaller angles to fill out the space and make sure it will look symmetrical. Paint over the tape using a sponge so the paint won’t bleed through. In case some paint did bleed through take a brush with some white paint and go over the rough edges.I hope you all have a wonderful week!
