How Do You Keep Christ In Easter

Easter is really special to me. It is a time for me to reflect on all that Jesus has done for me in my life. It is a time for me to be oh so grateful for his sacrifice on my behalf. It is a time to renew my efforts to do things like serve others, pray for others and learn more about my Savior. With this in mind, I wanted to gather some ideas to share with your on ways that you can celebrate Easter with your family by keeping the true meaning of Easter at the front of your mind. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t share in the traditions that include chocolate bunnies and jelly beans, I’m just saying that mixed in with all of that, remember He who this season should be celebrating.

I didn’t come up with all of these ideas. In fact, only one is mine. I didn’t take most of these photos either. You will find them on the link (in blue) under each picture, along with a brief description of what you will find when you click on the links. These are my favorites of the ones I found on the internet. There are so many ideas for keeping Christ in Easter. Do some exploring of your own.

You may notice on the right hand side bar that there is a place where you can request a copy of the Bible for free. If you’d like to do that, please go right ahead. If you don’t want to do that, there is a web address at the bottom of that box. Click on it to see a moving and beautiful video on Christ.

Make an Empty Tomb Garden. Mission to Save will tell you exactly how to make this lovely garden for your Easter display.

Easter Advent Tree. This is from me, Kathleen, and I shared it on Clarks Condensed. Each egg contains a scripture and a piece of chocolate. Open one each day leading up to Easter.

He is Risen Craft. This is a wonderful craft to make with your kids from True Aim Education. It’s very simple, so even very small children can make it.

Egg You Neighbors This is so fun! I really love it. This is from Happy Home Fairy and one of three posts I loved from her site. Actually, she has so me really fun ideas. Hang this on your neighbor’s door. It’s really fun!

Resurrection Eggs. This post, from Life Your Way, lists what should go in each egg and the meaning of each item in the Easter story. It’s a great way to teach your children. Love this!

Resurrection Rolls from Happy Home Fairy is a really great visual way to teach your kids, with a yummy snack at the end. I made these with my grand kids last year and they really loved them.

Easter Scavenger Hunt from Happy Home Fairy again is a little scavenger hunt for your kids to do to find their Easter basket, with a lesson on the meaning of Easter built in. This is really cute.

So, there are my picks for ways to keep the focus of Easter on Christ. What ways do you focus on Christ during this Easter season? Let me know below please. I love new ideas!
