Essentials for Exploring the Outdoors in Style

Despite the fact we are entering spring and the weather looks like it has taken a turn for the better, you’ll still need to wear the right attire when exploring the great outdoors. But the thought of investing in functional rather than fashionable clothing strikes fear into the hearts of many.

Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, some items can actually be rather sophisticated, snappy and snazzy. If you’re not convinced, here is a quick look at some essentials for exploring the outdoors in style.

Hunter wellies

From a pair of Chelsea boots to some good old-fashioned wellies, Hunter is the ultimate outdoor footwear brand. Regardless of whether you want practicality or elegance from your sturdy outdoor footwear, there will be an option that suits. These boots and shoes are built to stand the test of time, but still look great too.

Jacket

There are two ways you can go with this one. Either choose a lightweight windbreaker jacket that will provide protection to your outfit from adverse weather conditions, or pick a heavyweight coat, which could cost more but is bound to look the part. This doesn’t mean to say waterproof outerwear can’t be stylish, but you’re more likely to turn heads in a suave wax jacket.

Trousers

This is where things can get difficult, as most trousers made for outdoor activities aren’t that pretty. Having said that, military-inspired trousers, such as cargo pants, are making a bit of a comeback and could well be the happy medium you’re looking for. This lightweight option is extremely practical and breathable too.

Socks

Even if you’ve bought a pair of comfortable Hunter boots, you’ll still need some suitable socks to go with them. Do not overlook this item of clothing, as it could mean the difference between dry feet and toes covered in blisters. What’s more, bright socks are a superb accessory and can make your outfit pop.

Hats

Again, this garment can be both fashionable and functional. In the cold weather, choose a beanie that matches other elements of your ensemble, but also provides some much-needed warmth. In the summer, a flat cap is suitable for both genders and will provide you with a bit of countryside chic.

So, if you’re planning on making the most of the outdoors this spring and summer, don’t forget about purchasing these essential items of clothing. After all, you can’t exactly rely on the Great British weather for anything.
