Free Crochet Pattern...Merry Berry Coasters!
The Merry Berry Coasters are a fun, easy, and pretty way to decorate for the holidays. Slip one under a fabulous mug of hot chocolate or under a holiday candle. They also make great gifts! Make a set of four and tie with a pretty ribbon for an easy and thoughtful handmade gift.

Sizing:
- 5.5 inches across
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (yarn shown is Red Heart Super Saver in White, Cherry Red, and Paddy Green)
- H (5.0 mm) Crochet Hook
- Tapestry/Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Instructions:
Ch 4 and join into a ring with a slip stitch (Work this in white).
Round 1 (white yarn): ch 4 (counts as a dc), then (dc into center of ring, chain 1) 11 times. Join to close with a slip stitch.
Round 2 (red or green yarn): Chain 4 and work a dc in the same space. Chain 1, then work two double crochet in the next (chain 1) space. Keep doing this all the way around, working 2 dc, ch 1 in each space. Join to close round with a slip stitch.
Round 3 (white yarn): Chain 4, then work 2 dc in the same space, then chain 1. In the next (chain 1) space, work three dc, ch 1. Keep doing this all the way around the circle…3 dc, ch1 1 in each space. Join with a slip stitch to close round.
Round 4/Edging (red or green yarn): Work a sl st into the first st, a sl st into the next st, then in the next st (sc, ch 3, sc). Repeat this sequence all the way around the circle. Fasten off.
Finishing & Assembly:
Weave in all ends and you’re finished!
