Shabby Chic DIY Serving Trays (SHARE IT Linky Party 11)

Hello lovelies! Happy weekend! Thank you all again for linking up with us last week (and the week before), and for showing up again this week! It’s great to party with you each week, and to get to know each of you and your blogs!!

This is the 11th edition of the SHARE IT Sunday Linky Party. Please follow along, and come party with us every week! Every week I have some awesome features for you and this week is no different. But before we get to that, let me share with you what I’ve been up to on the blog.

What’s happening at FineCraftGuild.com?

Things that are ongoing at the FineCraftGuild are my patterns sales and free downloads. Obviously, given that it was Mothers day last weekend, a particularly popular article was 50 cute DIY projects that moms will love. (Tip: while these make great gifts for others, namely moms, don’t be shy to try out these wonderful patterns for yourself. (Almost) all patterns & tutorials on this page are free. Worth having a look. Early in the week, I posted a free sewing pattern for an adorable kids apron with oven mitt. And yesterday I shared a delightful Orange-glazed Salmon Recipe. I created this meal completely by accident and it’s a winner. Want to try it too? That was my week. How was yours? I love to see your creations…. Or, leave me a comment, even if you don’t have anything new to link up this week!

Featured DIY Décor Ideas & Projects

For the party this week, I have two unique DIY décor projects and ideas to share… namely shabby chic DIY serving trays.

My #1 pick this week that I’d like to feature is a Shabby Chic DIY Chalk Paint Serving Tray with Image Transfer.

It’s made by Teresa from Shoestring Elegance. She shares her whole journey of using Graphic Fairy images for French quote image transfers. She explains how that did not really worked for her… And then she shares with you, what easy trick did work. I am not going to tell you what it is, so that you’ll hop over and find out! Congrads, Teresa! It’s a great tray! Lucky you.

#2 Shabby Chic Serving Tray Photo Frame

Cecilia from Thriftstore Addiction. I know I have featured her DIY décor ideas in happy Spring colors as one of last week’s party features; and I usually try to feature different people’s work each week. But, … I kind of have to show you this fabulous shabby chic serving tray with vintage cutlery in gold painted glasses used as a family photo display.

  1. Because I really like it.
  2. Because it is such a different but equally shabby chic idea as the first tray featured.
  3. Because it’s such a fun sequel to one of my round-up articles, Creative Photo Frames with really unique ways to display photos. Since this is a store display, they probably used some found vintage images. Use PicMonkey to make photos of your own kids sepia toned, and stick them onto some vintage forks.

It’s just so cool! I love this display! Thank you again, Cecilia for your inspirational submission!!
