Liebster Love

source
I was overjoyed and very touched last week to receive several Liebster Award nominations. I love the concept of promoting smaller blogs. I know how happy I am when someone introduces me to a new gem and this award really helps everyone discover new blogs. THANK YOU to the four lovelies who nominated me:

Jessica at Two Mommies AND A BABY!
Sarah at Bloggity Bloo
Stacy at Living Hypothetically
Lisa at Pixie Diaries (her nomination was actually a while back and this reminded me I needed to respond! Sorry Lisa!)

THE RULES

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog (check!)
  • Nominate 11 blogs who you feel deserve recognition and let them know they've been nominated (please see below!)
  • Answer the 11 questions you were asked and create 11 questions for your nominees (I might have to break this up a bit in more than one post...)
  • Display the Liebster Award logo (I love blog bling)
  • No tag backs (you can't just re-nominate the blog who nominated you--this is hard not to do!)

Liebster Q&A - part 1 of 4

Since I don't want to overload you with 44 questions about myself at the moment, I'll just answer the first 3 from each person who nominated me. I'll post the rest of the Q&As throughout the week to space it out a bit. Great questions!

From Jessica:
1) What is your favorite time of day? Evenings after dinner, but before you have to worry about going to bed, around the time the sun is setting and when the best TV shows are on 2) What is your favorite spot at home? I like a nice couch corner by a window, ideally. If me and Katrina get a place with a nice porch...that might be my new favorite. 3) What was something you were scared to do, but did it anyway? Coming out at work

From Sarah:
1) If you could meet any one person dead or alive who would it be? Probably a favorite author, Edith Wharton or Dostoevsky. Also, Ellen. 2) Greatest accomplishment thus far? I overcame a lot of insecurities as a young girl and have reached a much healthier self-worth 3) Where do you hope to be in 10 years? I hope to be somewhere with my love, creating, learning, growing, sharing. Perhaps a published novelist? A mother? Life is exciting and anything is possible.

From Stacy:
1) How did you know that you were in love with your partner/spouse? I was on the other side of the world, having the adventure of a lifetime, and all I could think about was her
2) If you could be a TV character who would you be and why? A cast member of the L-Word, because I think it looks so fun to have a whole group of lesbian friends (I guess I'd want to be Alice...)
3) If money was not a factor where would you want to vacation? I'd want to take Katrina with me to Australia and New Zealand. Snorkeling through the Great Barrier Reef, birding for Birds of Paradise, surf lessons on Manly Beach, hiking up a volcano on the south island in NZ...

From Lisa: 1) If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? I might have to go with a bird just because the thought of absolute freedom of flight is so appealing (I suppose I'd be a dove) 2) What is your favourite breakfast food? The most difficult question--I love all things breakfast! I love a breakfast sandwich because it combines several breakfast elements into one 3) Where did you go on your last vacation/trip? Me & Katrina went to Louisville, Kentucky this spring and I loved it! Not the first destination spot you'd think of, but there was a variety of things to do there and it was a really fun getaway.
