AS-SALAMU ALAYKUM

Although I’ve been living in Dubai for two years as well as Reem and I visiting for the past eight, we have never made time to head to Abu Dhabi and visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

During my sisters last visit, we deiced it was high time to tick this one off our list. So Reem, mum and I made the short drive to the capital.

While driving towards the gates of the Mosque, you realise just how vast it is. It’s not until you enter, that you feel totally and utterly swept away by the beauty of the architecture and the serenity of the atmosphere. It really is something else.

After our prayers, we wandered the grounds and captured the beautiful light given from the sun set. We posted some of our iPhone images on Instagram to a great reception, and have been meaning to share these images on here for a while.

It now seems like perfect timing to be featuring these photos as we welcome in the month of Ramadan. On that note, we’d both love to wish you a Ramadan Kareem and a blessed month (and many more) ahead.
