What I Wore: Messy Project Reveal!

Its finally the big reveal day! When I came across The Messy Project on Kelly's blog, I thought it was such a genius and fun idea, and when I was given the opportunity to participate I was really excited to join in! Fashion isn't all about what's current and popular at the time, its about wearing clothing that best suits our personalities and fits our bodies while showing the very best version of us. For the past year, for me, its been about taking risks and testing my boundaries/feeling better in my own skin, and what better way to test myself than to have someone else assign me something to style to best fit me! Kelly's idea is such a brilliant and fun one, here's how it works! The Deal: 1 Item 5 Girls 5 Different Looks 1 Major Blog Post Day
Kelly sent each of us the item in our size, and we were allowed to style it however we wanted! It was warm and sunny the day I took these pictures, and I love the pairing of mint and coral. Here's how I styled it:

There are so many things I could put with this fun printed shirt, but I really wanted to show it off and let it shine so I just paired it with some light mint jeans(ross), some gold jewelry(bangles-target, spikes-TJMaxx, necklace-urban outfitters), and my favorite nude heels(target). Simple, but that's what I love most about spring/summer fashion!
Now, go and check out the rest of the messy girls, and see how they styled their item! :) Kelly @ Messy Dirty Hair Michael @ Crazy Tragic Almost Magic Laura @ Walking In Memphis in High Heels Cindy @ Looky Loo Photography

I really had so much fun with the project, and seeing everyone's individual take on styling the piece really is a wake up call on the versatility of fashion! It should give everyone hope that they can wear anything they want and have no fear when it comes to clothing:)
Thanks for stopping by today! Kelly has only so many openings in her project each month, but also has her new Mini Project is going strong so go on over and get in line! Have a great rest of your Wednesday, and see you again tomorrow loves. xo, Emmy

P.S. five months and counting! For those of you that were asking, yes I'm planning on doing a maternity series with this little one, I was just waiting till I was showing a bit more, but I think since I'm over half way I'd better just get started! :) xo
