Annual Blazer Bash.

Scarf: thrifted (funny story), Shirt: f21, Pants: Target, Shoes: DSW, Bag: Steve Madden As I've shared before, Ian and I haven't really started any traditions around the holiday times or anything. Although, I'm sure that will change now that Greyer is growing up and holidays will just be more magical with him plus more kids eventually. But there is one tradition we realized we always do and it's not centered around a holiday or anything (although it should be considered a holiday lol)... Every year, we host a "Blazer Bash" at our house for the Portland Trail Blazers season opener. I know, most couples host an annual Christmas party or something, but ours is that. We were telling each other last night (when we realized we do this every year) that we need people to count on this party! Well, the season opener was last night and I'd say the bash was a success even though our team lost (whomp, whomp).
I'm so sick of rooting for the underdogs, you guys! It's so annoying! My high school football team was ALWAYS the worst in their league, and then my college team never won anything, and now my NBA guys are just as bad. Ugh! I was discussing this predicament with some friends (s/o to Justin and Laura) and they suggested rooting for the best in the league instead, but I just can't. It's terribly cliche to cheer for the team you know will bring you a victory! And on the rare, rare occasion that our Blazies win it is just thrilling I tell ya! Like don't-know-if-I'm-laughing-or-crying thrilling!
I'd also like to note that I've been loving having people over lately! It's just been so fun and makes this house really feel like home. You know, because we are sharing it with the people we love even though rooms are still half empty... literally though, our living room is half empty.
