Chastity Valentine

Turning Back Time

So a fun fact about me is that I was named after Cher's then daughter (now son), Chastity Bono. My parents used to watch the Sonny & Cher show while my mom was pregnant. I've always loved Cher and her daring bold looks and I decided to channel my inner Cher. This isn't a style capture, it more of an inspired by look. The 70s was such a fun time in fashion and it was definitely over the top. I took some of my favorite things about 7os fashion and Cher and used them to inspire this look. I'm not into bell bottoms, but I love wide leg pants. Some will say that for my body type this isn't the best style for me b/c of the volume and width of the pants, but as you all know by now I do what I want. LOL.
Style Notes: Some of you may have seen these pants on my Snapchat (@garnerstyle). These were the "vagina pocket pants." There were two huge pleats in the front that made these pants that literally cupped and outlined the crotch area. No bueno. I loved how the pants fit in the legs, so I decided to take them to the tailor to see if they could be saved...and they were. Yeah! Unfortunately, I purchased these a while ago and they are no longer available. The top is from Urban Outfitters and was purchased in a size large. It's a knit and is very stretchy.
