New CID i - glow Compact Shimmer Powder in Sirocco

2014 was officially the year of highlighters and illuminating blushers for me. My top favourite were Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Antigua and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Flush in Luminous Flush. To join these cult favourite products has just arrived New CID's i-glow Compact Shimmer Powder in Sirocco. Baked instead of being glued together by waxes, the powder's texture and consistency has been carefully kept dreamy and blendable. There's no patchiness involved nor is there any tugging or pulling during application - just pure fluid movements. Having a warm champagne base with peachy, tanned veins of colour thrown in, it's the perfect accompaniment to a tan, faux or otherwise. The formula of the powder isn't weak in pigmentation nor too crumbly in the pan, just perfect instead. The luminous powder surely leans more towards the power-packed side of highlighting illuminators - ones that are actually able to deliver an editorial 'wet look' effect on the skin. If used sparingly on the high points of the face with a less dense brush, it has the ability to reflect light off the face brilliantly. Would also look great dusted on the eyelids and shoulders for an evening out or a wedding. Just one word of advice, use sparingly - unless you're going for an overall foiled effect on your face. What? It could be the 'in' thing for 2015, who knows!
Check it out for £28 on www.brandalley.co.uk,

p.s. Keep your eyes peeled for swatches/comparison of this with it's Bobbi Brown and Hourglass competitors.
