Choosing Art for a Chic Nursery

We’re working on the nursery of our downtown loft renovation project. Last week we installed the custom wallpaper we created with the wonderful and talented illustrator, Caitlin McGauley. It turned out so beautifully! By now you probably know that we love to layer art on top of wallpaper; it truly takes the entire elevation to the next level. Today we’re sharing three different art ideas to work with our wallpaper, below. Let us know in the comments section which idea you like the best!

Below, an example of how great art can look layered over a patterned wallpaper in a nursery. Photos by Sharon Montrose, founder of The Animal Print Shop.
Below, hand drawn four-plate photolithography printed on mitsumata tissue and hand cut by Jill Parisi. This series of flower shapes are pinned as a relief with fine entomology pins in a white shadowbox frame. We love the three-dimensional, sculptural element this work adds to the wall.

What Was The Question by MacGregor Harp from Exhibition A is based on a flower painting that Harp recently displayed at David Peterson Gallery in Minneapolis. Layering an abstract piece over a patterned wallpaper always works well.

A Collection of 3 Yoshitimo Nara prints from Art.com for the future art collector. Fun and unexpected!
