How I wore it: Rouge Louboutin

So I remember sitting in the plane chatting with my brothers, when one of them (or was it me?) brings up this new nail polish. It’s red, so that’s a color we’ve never seen, and it’s overpriced. Basically it’s four times more expensive than what I consider the sum of which Chanel nail polish is overpriced. But hey, it looks like a stiletto and it’s Louboutin.

I open my really big mouth and say that while I consider it a fun gift for someone who likes both shoes as well as nail polish and who can’t really afford to buy the shoes (or the one who’s gifting it can’t afford to buy the shoes), I wouldn’t buy it. It’s absurd.

That was the plane leaving towards out vacation destination. Then there was vacation, and I didn’t spend (much) money. In-between there was pay-day. And then I come home.

I read the newspaper. I check my bloglovin’ feed. I check my instagram feed. I surf on facebook. I realize everyone is talking about the absurdly shaped nail polish bottle with a price as steep as the handle of the brush.

Still, my mind is set, I’m not a millionaire, I don’t need this, and most definitely, I don’t want this. Although, I begin to find the bottle rather cool. It would look great on a white wall mounted shelf for my nail polishes (which I don’t have, or would have the space or boyfriend for), placed prominently in the middle.

Umph. That Louboutin site ships to Austria. Two fellow nail polish enthusiasts want to order it too, which means the sending costs are minimal. 24 hours later I have my own Rouge Louboutin, need for a fancy wall mounted nail polish shelf and no more self respect.
