Nailstalgia: How I wore OPI My Private Jet

Welcome to another nailstalgic post! You can see the first three posts here (1, 2, 3)!

This week we’re going with a real classic, so-to-say the one must-have of all brown polishes ever made.

Yes, we’re talking about OPI My private jet. My private Jet exists, as so many fabulous nail polishes do, in two versions – one that is terribly hard to find, and one that is easily accessible. I have the easily accessible version, but you can find pictures of the original, holographic version here.

I have worn mine more often than other polishes (which equals “a lot” in polish lover’s terms), and I really, really love the color – I don’t think it’s even brown!

To me the polish looks like a dark grey with tons of red shimmer and holographic glitter shards. As if worn it alone and stamped already, I decided to pep it up with some nail art, so I chose to try my nail vinyls.

As a matching color, I picked my newly delivered, anxiously awaited Illamasqua Melange, the most probably hottest nail polish now (as in Hansel, so hot right now hot!). I used triangle shaped stickers to make triangle shapes on my nails (with more or less success), and I couldn’t pick which way I liked them better, so one hand is like this, and the other looks different. Nobody noticed, really.

I didn’t really pick a matching outfit this time, but today is a regular work day, so I went with my (super) relaxed “It’s Friday!” outfit. Shoes: Clarks desert boots, jeans: MAVI, silk blouse: J.Crew, pullover: Oysho, jacket: Eduscho, earrings: Pierre Lang (PR-Sample), necklace: ApreciouZ. Make-Up: lipstick: LimeCrime Pink Velvet, blush by Tarte , Chanel Mascara, Inglot foundation and powder.

What do you think of My Private Jet? Do you have it, and if so, which version?

Make sure you check out Cait from Polish Hound‘s post and Erin from Paint Those Piggies!‘s post too!
