CONDO LIVING: ANTLER LOVE

Hello there! Hope all of you had a good weekend! We had a pretty good weekend, but I didn't get around to relaxing like I wanted to (sad face). At least it's finally starting to feel like Fall around here and its been dipping into the 50's at night! Yay! This is definitely my favorite time of year! Anyways, I would like to apologize for my disappearing act at the end of last week, but Thursday morning I got the phone call to finally go back to work. I ended up only working 5 hours, but hey at least we are back on for now and I can get back to my normal work schedule (I loved the time off, but it messed up my routines). Friday I ran around like a crazy person trying to get errands done in preparation for the week ahead and our upcoming trip and I had to take my mom to the airport. Then Saturday we were busy cleaning around here so we can just tidy up before we leave next Sunday. It was all so exhausting, but I'm glad it all got done. Speaking of done, I've been so proud of myself for all the small projects I've been finishing around here that have been on my never ending to do list and if I'm being honest, its great to share some of this stuff with you all wouldn't you agree? So today I wanted to share a little snapshot of our newest editions (and project in progress) to the condo, our beautiful pair of antlers.
Now I am more of a faux antler person myself opposed to the real thing (it makes my little heart so sad to hear of any animal dying and even though I've grown up in a family that hunts a lot, I'm not condoning it at all and try not to think about it), but my dad happened to have a nice big pair collecting dust in his attic so I asked him for it. I'm glad I did because I love them and they are gorgeous! I brought them home over the Summer and had yet to find a place for them until a few weeks ago. I decided to hang them in our living room above the hallway entrance. I initially planned to hang it on a big piece of wood, but I got tired of it lying around so Ian and I just hung it as is. I haven't completely ruled out attaching them to a piece of wood, but I've also been looking into other options. I've been thinking maybe it would be fun to hang some faux flowers around the base. So take a look at some ideas I've found around the web.

I'm thinking maybe some pretty faux peonies mixed with something else. What do you think I should do? Attach it to a piece of wood? Hang some flowers around it? Add a frame? So many choices and all opinions/ideas welcome! When I'm finished with the project I will definitely share it with you guys. I can't wait!
