What I've been reading this week

I've now been in London for a month! How time flies. Unfortunately I got sick and spent the last week trying to recover. But happy to report that I'm feeling better and can get back to exploring the city and looking for a job. I wanted to do a little recap of the things I've been reading this week:

Read about Belgian designer Jan-Jan Van Essche and his approach to "slow fashion" via All Items Loaded "Catching Up with Jan-Jan Van Essche"

One of my favourite stores in London, Hostem, was featured in Dezeen highlighting the design of their new womenswear floor. I'm particularly taken by the steel display cases used for jewellery and accessories, I wouldn't mind having one of those for myself!

Advice you shouldn't take? In the spirit of the job hunt, I loved reading these fashion tips for women from the 1977 "The Woman's Dress for Success Book" via Into The Gloss.

If you are a fashion designer, or are a fan of illustration, check out J.W. Anderson's Spring 2014 collection come to life on the page via ShowStudio.

I love these dog portraits by German photographer Elke Vogelsang. Although it does make me miss my pup just a little bit more!

Lastly, a great interview with Werkstatt:Munchen designer Klaus Lohmeyer by Le Paradox.
