On those frizzy, second day hair days, try this easy twisted bun hairstyle tutorial for curly hair.
Let’s face it, even on days you wash your hair, this bun is perfect for creating a neat, everyday updo. I’d wear this to work, or even weekend lunches when I want my hair up and off my neck. Wearing my hair out in summer is like wearing a woollen coat. I need simple hairstyles like this in my life.
I haven’t tried this bun hairstyle in wet hair yet but I’d definitely try it. Here are some more wet hair hairstyles, and the twists of this bun would dry really nicely into waves around your face.
Add this hairstyle to your “I only have 5 minutes to get ready” days. And who doesn’t want to save time and still look good?
For straight hair: This style isn’t just for curls! You could create a really beautiful bun with these twisted over sections. To help them hold better, I’d curl the ends of your hair so they don’t stick out of the style.
For hair with layers: This style works well with layers though you may find the twists don’t hold as well. If your twists start to unravel or lose their shape, take a bobby pin and place it along the length of each twist. Slide the pin along the twist to hold it in place so it stays all day.
For long hair: You might need that hair elastic. I haven’t used one but if your hair is long you can do a ponytail first. Then twist it up into a bun. I’d also use a spin pin to hold the bun in place instead of regular bobby pins.
Hope you like this style! If you do, please pin or share it and I’d love to see a photo of it in your hair. Tag your pic #hairromance on instagram.
