After a night of Bollywood and Shenanigans

Back in the day, whenever I'd get the chance to take ootd photos on days I get to go out with my friends or loved ones, I make an effort to style myself to look good in front of the camera, or in what I think would look good in front of the camera. These days (and a few years later since I started blogging), I prioritize my personal comfort more than worrying about what I'd possibly look like. Not that I don't care if I look disgusting and unpresentable in public, of course I'm conscious about that part of my looks − I still have my dignity to look decent after all. But I don't force myself to follow trends and fads like I used to back in the day.
I used to make myself follow trends even though I'm not quite sure it'd fit my style. Now I'm more meticulous and picky about the kinds of trends that I follow as long as I know they'd suit my taste. I'm not quite sure if it can be considered a style (because I'm a proud member of the Lazy Girls Club), but I'm honestly not as into putting a conscious effort in dressing up to impress others anymore. I'm more concerned about being comfortable for the day and investing in classic pieces that will surely be versatile and timeless as my taste in clothing matures and evolves through time.
I'm fortunate that my mom was able to keep some of her old high-waist denims since one day when I was looking through our old luggages, I was able to unearth a few of these babies without having to spend so much for something like them in the mall. I've never been so happy to hear that high-waist bottoms are back in style again. The last time I had high-waist pants/shorts was back in my early grade school days when I sported loose high-waist cargo Snoopy pants with my signature Powerpuff Girls shirts and sandals. Gosh, those were the days: when I wasn't fashion conscious but could still get away with faux pas easily. Oh, to be a kid again!

Many thanks to Den-den as always for taking my photos even under the blazing morning sun post-sleepover ❤
PS: Changed my blog's name as part of the change I talked about in my previous post. Happiness is a choice and Positivity is my ammunition. Happiness is indeed free. More about it in my About page.
