Best of...Summer 2014 Releases

Clarins Colours of Brazil Summer Bronzing Compact - £30 Clarins have had it spot on with their make-up collections this year—in particular their gorgeous Spring Opalescence collection, the pièce de résistance of which I posted about here. The summer collection sings of balmy summer nights, bolder, glowier, sexier make up and beautiful hues of cobalt blue and muted, dusty pinks. I would heavily advise that you ask a trusted friend to hide your bank card before you click this link – here’s the full range. I love the look of this bronzer compact – a multi-tonal powder embossed with a South American-inspired print, housed in a beautiful, faux wood casing.

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent - £47
An annual, limited edition release from Estée Lauder—this is summer in a bottle. Two of my colleagues both snapped this up on launch date and I have to say I’m increasingly tempted to make the purchase. To me it captures the essence of holidays, of endless summer nights and the sun - it's not particularly demure or intricate or complex, it's almost familiar. In a good way. Give it a whiff!

bareMinerals 'The First Resort' Collection - £34
bareMinerals have a knack for putting together brilliant kits and this is no exception. A palette of bronzers and perfect contouring shades with a delicate fan brush and perfectly-toned coral gloss (the Marvellous Moxie lip glosses are a dream formula wise), this is not only great value but great quality and a perfect summer staple.
NARS Lip Gloss 'Priscilla' - £18.50
It was hard to choose just a couple of items from the NARS Summer Collection - always beautiful, always classy and always expertly formulated you know you won't be let down by NARS releases. This is a high-shine, blue-toned hot pink - a daring choice but perfect with a neutral bronze eye and a good tan!
Chanel Joues Contraste Blush 'Canaille' - £31 The Chanel blushes are of impeccable quality and I've got my eye on this beautiful burnt orange shade. Pared with a tan it can be the most gorgeous blush shade and I urge everyone to have at least one orange blush in their collection!

NARS Illuminator 'Hot Sand' - £22.50 This is a new addition to the NARS Illuminators - a peach champagne shade perfect for adding a gentle shimmer to the cheekbones and/or collarbones. A pricey option but I've had mine (in the shade 'Super Orgasm') for absolutely ages, so it's a worthy investment.

Clarins Colours of Brazil Quartet & Eye Liner Palette - £32
I think this might be the most beautiful eye palette I've seen in a long time - expertly rounded off with the most beautiful cobalt blue liner shade. Housed in the same beautiful packaging as the bronzer, it's a mixture of shades that I think are just perfect for the balmy summer months.
