Edwardian Cottage Chic Decor

A Cottage Chic Home Tour

How fabulous is this cottage bedroom? I have that duvet cover! I long for everything else. That vintage chair is just fabulous and I love the colours on that rug.

I am SO jealous of the size of this hall! This house must be huge. I love those stairs too.

There’s so much light and beautiful colours flowing through this hall. Not to mention that there’s a fireplace in it! What! I would take away the portrait of the creepy kid but that’s just personal choice.

My favourite thing about this home is the amount of light, white and neutral tones. Well, a few favourites. I’m also rather taken by that candlestick collection! How lovely.

What a fabulous big room. I bet it’s an absolute nightmare to heat. I wonder if there’s a separate dining room or just this one big entertaining room. Either way its fabulous.

I love the huge mirrors that are all over this house and I really like the big dressers! The one above in particular has been painted blue inside to match all of the ceramic ware. Marvellous!

What a fancy bedroom! And four poster bed! That wardrobe is rather special. I couldn’t even imagine having a room big enough for it! I wonder if the furniture in this house was painted by the owners. The dressing table above looks like it has been painted in a rather familiar Annie Sloane colour of chalk paint. A great idea for injecting some colour with the neutral pallet in this home.

oh! A claw foot tub! The bath tub of my dreams. That panelling on the wall is rather interesting. Since I know nothing about panelling, was this a popular Edwardian feature?

I love that shelf and how the toiletries have been displayed!
