I love using chicken wings as they are a really inexpensive but delicious option that pretty much everyone loves. I can grab a few pounds of wings and make these Cajun Crispy Baked Chicken Wings and feed a ton of people for just a small amount of money and not feel like I am breaking the bank. That’s ideal for having a bunch of kids over on the weekends, or of course, ideal for your game day parties.
I prefer making my own homemade cajun seasoning for this Cajun crispy baked chicken wings, but if you don’t keep these seasoning blends on hand, you can cheat and purchase a ready-made seasoning blend. If you do that, I can’t guarantee it will taste as great as my homemade recipe, though!
This recipe for baked chicken wings is super easy to put together. Once you have your spices together it’s just a matter of rolling wings into the seasoning mixture.
After baking for 4o minutes you’ll pull the wings out and generously add the chicken wing sauce to the wings….. this is what gives it the kick. For a gooey sticky sauce you can even drench your wings into any leftover sauce after they’ve cooked. If you do this they won’t be as crispy though but they will sure be flavorful and saucy. You can always tame down the Cajun spice to match the needs of anyone you’re serving.

- 2 1/2lbs wingscut at joints
- 1tbsp garlic powder
- 1tbsp paprika
- 1/4tbsp ground black peper
- 1/2tbsp onion powder
- 1/2tbsp ground thyme
- 1/2tbsp oregano
- 1/2-1 tbsp saltto taste
- 1tsp chili powder
- 1/2cup Unsalted buttermelted
- 2tsp minced garlic2-3 cloves
- 1tsp Cajun seasoningor reserve 1 teaspoon from wing seasoning
- 2tbsp Parmesan cheese
- 1tsp parsley flakes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rinse and cut wings, pat dry.
In a large bowl combine garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt and chili powder.
Roll wings into season mixture
Add seasoned wings to a greased baking pan.
Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, flip wings. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Remove pan and with a cooking brush or spoon, generously add the chicken wing sauce to the wings.
Return wings to the oven, cook for an additional 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
For crispier wings, turn heat up to 425 degrees for the last ten minutes.
