Vancouver Love with Yellow Pages

One thing I love to do, both online and off, is to connect with individuals and listen to their stories. Recently, I had the unique opportunity to do just that with Yellow Pages, who chose five bloggers across Canada to create authentic and original local stories from real neighbourhoods and real residents for their Shop The Neighbourhood initiative. I was charged with the task of interviewing some of my favourite Vancouver-based small business owners to hear all about their shops, their passion for their communities and what they do. I visited some of my favourite retailers, including Rebecca Bree, Paper-Ya, and The Cross Decor and Design… and you can now read the articles (along with highlights of businesses in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Ottawa) here. If you’re traveling around Canada in the near future, be sure to check it out!

Shop The Neighbourhood is an initiative of Yellow Pages, a company with a century-long legacy of working with Canada’s small businesses. Held this year on Saturday, November 29th, across five cities, Shop The Neighbourhood encourages Canadians to support the small businesses in their communities by making a local purchase on that day.

Visit “Meet the Neighbour” section and join in on the Shop the Neighbourhood Facebook page here.
