Hit List – February 2015

If you caught me during my Russia kick, then you’re probably tired of my singing the praises of Red Sparrow and Allegiance. But they’re just. that. good. On the book front, I thoroughly enjoyed Big Little Lies (a breezy read, set in an Australian beach town) and I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You (a beautifully written tale of the challenges of marriage, parenthood, and finding oneself). The gray section of my wardrobe continues to grow (apparently the best color to disguise baby spit up) with this Topshop cape and Everlane’s marled sweatshirts, which are absurdly comfortable and WARM during the coldest February in decades. A dab of Bite’s agave lip mask and a pair of 360 studs, and you have my February uniform when I’ve dared to venture outside of the house. At home, it’s all about long soaks in the tub with this lavender bath and donning pajamas and slippers (absolutely ridiculous looking, but they are the most comfortable and warm ones I’ve ever owned).

And relaxing. While I still can. The countdown to the kid’s arrival is ON.
