Crown Brush Infinity Collection: Small Round Buffer, Pointed Blender & Round Blender

My brush collection is growing and growing and I can't stop adding to it! When you're doing personal and professional makeup application it's so useful to have an arsenal of brushes to turn to, having one or two of everything means you're not dipping in and out of different products with the same brush and mixing things up. I like a mix of synthetic and natural brushes for different cosmetics, I'm in need of more synthetic face brushes so I turned to Crown Brush. Crown Brush's Infinity Collection is comprised of seven densely packed synthetic brushes for both face and eyes to deliver a perfectly buffed, pixel perfect finish. This order was my first taste of Crown Brushes, I knew I had to order some when I saw the glowing reviews against the incredible and competitive value. With so much hype surrounding the Infinity collection I thought it would be a good place to start, so I ordered three brushes: Small Round Buffer, Pointed Blender & Round Blender.
A lot of reviews online compare these brushes to Sigma brushes - I have used Sigma before and I'm indifferent to their brushes. I don't have any Sigma brushes to compare the Crown Brush Infinity collection to but I'm sure you can find some great Sigma/Crown Brush comparisons online. I will be reviewing these based on my experience of Crown Brush alone, not compared to other brushes similar on the market, although I did buy the Small Round Buffer to replace my Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush and am just as happy with it as a replacement.

Synthetic brushes are perfect for use with cream or liquid products because they don't hold onto or absorb the product, I recommend going in with a light hand and a little product at a time so you don't cake or build up the brush with excess product. All three brushes are incredibly soft, the bristles are densely packed and don't tend to splay or lose their shape all too easily - if you are a bit heavy handed or change the shape during cleaning they can easily be smoothed out and reshaped. The handles are comfortable and easy to hold, they're a good length so you can hold them at the far end for very light application or hold them close to the bristles for precise blending.

I've been using the Small Round Buffer as a finishing touch to foundation application. It can be used to apply foundation all over and/or to buff it into the skin. I like to apply my foundation with a flat foundation brush and then stipple over the top with the small round buffer to achieve a completely flawless finish. I've actually got two of these brushes now, I use one for buffing out foundation and another for smoothing out cream blusher, pigment and contour creme. It's a great all-round brush, definitely not too small for the face, and in my eyes the must-have brush from the Infinity collection. The Pointed Blender and Round Blender are quite large brushes - between 1.5-2cm in bristle length. They're larger than I had initially expected but Crown Brush are really upfront about the size and length of their brushes and bristles so I really should have paid more attention to the online descriptions! I still use these brushes for my eyes but more for all over base and primer application. What I love using them for is concealer application and blending, particularly underneath my eyes. They really smooth out creamy concealer no matter how thick it is without caking or dragging it. The Pointed Blender is useful for getting in around the edges of the nose and the eyes, while the Round Blender is a good all-rounder for small areas of blending.
You can use these brushes in a number of ways - I find them best used in a buffing/stippling action but you can sweep with them, press down with them or gently circle them.
Crown Brushes in my experience so far are great quality, especially considering the price. The brushes clean brilliantly and return to near enough brand new condition - for best results from your brushes spot clean after every use and deep clean at least once a week. If you're looking for synthetic brushes to buff and blend then this collection will be absolutely ideal, whether you're a professional makeup artist or using them at home.
Crown Brush Infinity Brushes retail between £4.99 and £16.99 priced individually, they are not available in a set at this time.
The brushes featured in this post are as follows: £5.99 for the Pointed Blender, £4.99 for the Round Blender and £12.99 for the Buffer.
