When I ran away with the circus....
"Roll Up, Roll Up....."
A couple of weeks ago I trekked up to sunny Birmingham to meet Dr Haze and the zany cast of The Circus of Horrors, for S4C's TV show 'Y Lle'.
As well as interviewing the somewhat screwball gang I got to try out some of the dead-dangerous-life-risking activities myself including limbo, roller roller and contortion. Sword swallowing was my favourite however; despite not having made an attempt at deep throating since my early twenties, the activity suprisingly captured my imagination! ;-)
I had a blinding day and couldn't wish to have met a friendlier bunch of nut-nuts! Here are ome pictures from the day as well as screen grabs from the TV item in question, which can be viewed here at about 19:00 minutes in. Remember to press 'S' for subtitles so you understand what I'm saying and I don't just sound like I'm trying to communicate with aliens from the planet Zurg...
