White kitchens will always be a classic and safe choice, but I know there are a lot of people out there tired of that same look and are looking for some fresh, hot new kitchen trends and this kitchen should inspire you.
If you have paid attention, black kitchens have been seen in many interior magazines lately, but we are not talking about the old black kitchens, and we are certainly not talking about just any dark color for kitchen cabinets, we’re talking about a moody dark grey, almost black, which creates a beautiful contrast when combined with white subway tile backsplash with a light grey grout, brass accents and shiplap.
The clients for this kitchen wanted something traditional and timeless. They hired the talented people from Fox Group Construction and went with a traditional style with a little modern farmhouse touch.
The kitchen design looks beautiful, trendy but with a timeless appeal.
Dark inset cabinets bring a modern feel to this classic kitchen. The overall size of the kitchen is 21’6” wide by 13’6” deep.
The kitchen island is roughly 11’ wide by 4’6” deep.
Kitchen lighting is Eugene Large Pendant – Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass from Circa Lighting.
The white quartz countertop is “Caesarstone Frosty Carrina”.
The backsplash is a traditional (and inexpensive) 3×6 white polished subway tile. This classic tile looks even better with a thin light grey grout.
Lighting is from Circa Lighting.
Paint color is Benjamin Moore 1617 Cheating Heart. Benjamin Moore 1617 Cheating Heart is a dark grey, almost black paint color and it looks gorgeous when combined with brass hardware and a white countertop.
This project is truly amazing. I am taken by the dark cabinets surrounded by all the bright whites and golds! Similar cabinet hardware can be found at “Restoration Hardware”.
The cabinets throughout the house were done by CS Cabinetry. I love the trim detail on these cabinets.
Kitchen flooring is 5” select white oak with natural clear matte finish.
A hall with shiplap paneling leads to a mudroom. The white shiplap and walls are painted in Benjamin Moore Simply White.
Mudroom features shiplap paneling and the same white oak flooring with matte finish. Walls and cabinet paint color is, once again, Benjamin Moore OC-117 Simply White.
The clients for this home wanted a simple, clean white exterior. I love the black door contrasting with the white siding. Classic!
I think this modern farmhouse look is truly beautiful! Notice the stunning porch railing… Isn’t it dreamy?
I love seeing new takes on kitchen design. Don’t you? I hope you felt inspired and enjoyed knowing more details about this space.
Today will be a fun day. I can’t wait to get out of the house. The sun is shinning and spring has finally arrived here! I even hear the birds chirping… I have missed that so much!
Have a wonderful day, everyone and we’ll talk again tomorrow!
with Love,
Luciane from HomeBunch.com
